D&D Homebrew Item: Backpack of Fetherfall

This sturdy backpack can hold two cubic feet or 30 pounds of gear. You can also strap items, such as a Bedroll or a coil of rope, to the outside of a backpack. The backpack has a leather strap branded around a feather attached to one of the shoulder straps.

Once per day, a character wareing the backpack may pull the leather activation strap to activate the featherfall effect (see PHB). The effect applies to the backpack. If the backpack becomes separated from the character, the character will fall normally.

If the backpack falls greater than 30′ while not being worn, the backpack will automatically activate the featherfall effect.
